Large Animal Facility

The large animal facility provides two conventional and one hybrid operating room as well as clinical imaging infrastructure for the model organisms pig, sheep and rabbit. With over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine, laboratory animal science, and biomedical engineering, projects are managed from the planning phase through execution all under one roof. Furthermore, the team actively develops and validates new animal models for translation to humans and for improving animal welfare in preclinical research. The service portfolio covers research and development from basic research accross all organs to product development and regulatory approval. Our support includes consulting for study design, obtaining ethical approval and conduction of your study. Beyond basic research we also provide a training platfom for individual device trainings.
